Forming a support system: agent, coach and other important collaborations

To build a career, it’s best to be well supported and, contrary to what you might think or what the market seems to suggest sometimes, you have a choice… a choice that may seem slim or relative at first, but a real choice all the same: you can choose your agent, coach, photographer, press officer, etc. It shouldn’t feel like a unilateral choice made by one side, but a mutual decision to work together because you click and are on the same page.

Who?

For actors, throughout their career.

How?

You can join this web conference from a PC, Mac, iPad, iPhone or Android device.
Internet connection required.

Why?

  • To be supported effectively
  • To make an agent aware of what the artist offers
  • To work with your agent
  • To acquire a methodology of action
  • To start taking steps to find an agent quickly.

What?

The agent: a constant companion

  • How to identify a talent agent: since January 2016, when the licence to work as a talent agent was withdrawn, the number of agencies has more than doubled. Why go more towards one than the other? How can you choose from an ever-longer list? Who is who? How can you tell them apart? How do you know who to contact?
  • How to approach a talent agent and with what message: Meeting them at an event? Emailing them? Contacting them by social media? Calling or stopping by their office? We explore all these situations so that everyone can find the one(s) that suit them best. Once that’s been decided, we see how to approach them and what to say to gain their attention and make them aware of your work. We can then work on the content of the meeting/email/post, etc. Because that’s clearly what makes the difference!
  • Which marketing tools to use: When opportunities for face-to-face meetings are few and far between, all the marketing tools you have up your sleeve will be your showcase, such as your CV, photos, demo reel, social media, etc. But how and when to use them in the right way? NB: we will only be taking an overview rather than exploring in detail how they’re put together (see the web conference “Marketing tools for working in France” and/or “Social media and marketing strategy”).
  • How to keep track over time: for various reasons, finding an agent takes time. So, how can you stop losing the thread? And keep going to benefit from your hard work? And react to negative, ambiguous, surprising and/or positive responses?
  • How to prepare an initial meeting with a talent agent: The idea is to get to know each other better, want to see each other again, motivate both parties to work together for better or worse and lay the foundations for a lasting relationship. Let’s calm those first date nerves!
  • How to work together: your agent is your ally, your collaborator, your ambassador and your wingman! It’s best if you complete, complement and understand each other, moving forward without stepping on each other’s toes, providing mutual support, mutually opening doors and showing mutual trust. The aim being that you work together over and over again until you decide otherwise!

Coaches and other important collaborations

  • Working on screen tests with an outside eye: we will say what we want, but… any criticism will be constructive!
  • Photographer / editor / hair stylist / makeup artist / press officer / image coach / community manager / personal assistant: a team working for you… it’s up to you to surround yourself with professionals who will follow you, support you and understand you, and who you can trust when you’re at the top! A career isn’t built singlehandedly and two heads are better than one. As you meet more people and gain more experience, try to spot who could help get your plans off their ground. All these collaborations are chosen and the choice is yours.

Attending professional events: the specific case of festivals

Festivals are popular with professionals; recent productions are presented here, often exclusively and sometimes alongside debates and specific gatherings. But you don’t (always) feel like you belong there. And you don’t (always) know how attending can benefit you, especially when you don’t have a film that’s being screened or you’re not performing.

Watch this webinar and you will understand everything that attending a festival can bring you.

Note:
This Webinar is only available in French, with no subtitles. Watch it here !

Who?

Everyone in the industry: actors, directors, producers, writers, screenwriters, etc.

How?

You can join this web conference from a PC, Mac, iPad, iPhone or Android device. Internet connection required.

Why?

  • To be prepared to go to festivals: organization and checklist of what there is to do
  • To get the most out of attending festivals, whether or not you’re performing
  • To choose the festivals to take part in or attend

What?

We will explore the following key points together to work out how to take full advantage of your festival and come back raring to go again:

  • A festival needs to be prepared: together we list the things you need to do or prepare to feel as comfortable as possible and get maximum benefit out of your festival.
  • We review the onsite organization: making the right choices, artistic versus strategic.
  • Marketing tools (physical and digital): which are essential, good to have or not important?
  • We present a few of the festivals in Europe, including Cannes, San Sebastian, Namur, the Berlinale, Avignon, Edinburgh, La Rochelle and Luchon: highlights, programming, etc.
  • Meetings or get-togethers during a festival: how to handle them with the different scenarios we present.
  • How to introduce yourself: a tricky time that you either love or loath!
  • How to choose the right festivals for you depending on your goals.
  • And finally, we will of course see how to network onsite and what to do after the festival to build on the important contacts.

NB: Given the large amount of information in this module, please also see: “Attending professional events whether or not you’re performing” which covers everything other than festivals.

Social media and marketing strategy

“Social media is so time-consuming!” … “everything we put online is saved without us knowing!” … “lots of people just post rubbish!” … “it’s full of fake news!” … “I don’t want everyone to know about my private life!” … “I don’t have anything to say!”
It’s time that social media do you more good than harm!
This web conference will help you get more out of it and choose the right one for your visibility goals. Who are their audiences? How can you set your accounts and profiles to only get information that interests you? How do you send tailored messages to targeted recipients? How do you save useful information? How can you organize the messages on your wall and get rid of ones you don’t want? Finally, and most importantly, what should you post?

In their own way, all these social media platforms can help improve your profile, maximize your exposure, reach your audience and communicate with your industry. We see how you can use them to achieve your goals: purpose, conventions, technical specifications and gaining recognition.
  • Setting editorial guidelines
For many people, knowing what to post is a nightmare, so we offer you a very simple solution: explaining the point of using your chosen platforms and then it’s game on! We will work on that together and give you plenty of ideas…

Demo-reel

An example of our demo reel :

Whether for France or abroad, demo reels have to convince and reassure a casting director, inspire a director, or sometimes even a producer, and prove what we already know — that you’re cut out for the role on offer.

It’s all a question of making the right choices in terms of range, rhythm, format, genre… From adding/removing one or more scene(s) to an existing demo reel or reediting it in digital, DVD or even DV format, we promote your skill set and identity as an actor through high-quality, recent footage.

We bring your image nearly twenty years of experience in the area plus our knowledge of the industry and its changing expectations, which is kept up to date by our close relationships with distributors.

Together, over one or two sessions, we will work on:

  • choosing the footage that will be put together: not everything is worth showing. Some scenes may be redundant, others do more for you, etc.
  • the order of the clips: the first thirty seconds are essential, creating that “first impression”, the image people instantly form of you and often remember
  • formatting, mixing and overlaying titles
  • subtitles (provided by you) if necessary
  • uploading your demo reel onto your YouTube, Dailymotion and Vimeo accounts (if necessary, creating the accounts with you).

What to say on social media?

Social media run on algorithms that, in simple terms, give active and prolific users more exposure.
The more you post, the more chances you have of being seen. More chances of being seen means more chances of reaching your audience and going viral (via likes, shares and comments). And the more viral you go, the more exposure the algorithms give you… It’s a virtuous circle that makes it essential to post regular content that’s relevant to your audience.

And that’s where things get complicated. The theory may be easy, but in practice the content gets harder to produce over time. During our meetings / this workshop, we will explore together:
• The right platforms for your goals
• How web content differs depending on your chosen platforms: both style and substance
• What to post: setting editorial guidelines
• How to tailor the same content to different networks: Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.
• Your posting schedule

Screen tests: practice makes perfect

You may feel unsure when you receive a scene for one of your next auditions. Without knowing what the casting director wants, you struggle to take one direction more than another. That’s not unreasonable, after all: isn’t the actor supposed to be led by a director? But you have to make a clear choice, from which the casting director will decide (or not) to work with you on one or more projects.
This web conference will give you the keys to understanding how to prepare your screen tests and arrive fully composed, relaxed and confident.

Note : This webinar is available in French only, with no subtitles. To watch it : click here.

Who?

Actors who film screen tests (regularly or not).

How?

You can join this web conference from a PC, Mac, iPad, iPhone or Android device. Internet connection required.

Why?

  • To develop a working approach to preparing a monologue or scene (with or without information on the role)
  • To hone your instincts
  • To make the script your own
  • To understand what the actor can bring to the character
  • To rise to the challenge set by the casting director

What?

  • The first reading: the traps to avoid
  • Discovering the scene: understanding the genre and rhythm
  • Preparatory work at the table alone or with a partner
  • The “effects” of staging: room for manoeuvre
  • Actor’s approach: when everything is possible, which one should you choose?
  • The concepts of typecasting and casting against type
  • Clichés: to avoid them or not?
  • Common mistakes to avoid
  • Being prepared for meeting the casting director

Message and stance as an actor

As an actor, you have an image to construct and convey in order to progress in your career and be contacted for the projects that interest you and the roles right for you. All that is also tied up with your message and what your network knows and remembers about you, irrespective of the roles you’ve played up to now. This web conference will give you the tools to better define the artist you are beyond the figure people see on screen or on stage.

All actors who want to steer their career towards more suitable projects.

  • To raise your profile amongst the networks developing projects that particularly interest you.
  • To feel at ease everywhere you go.
  • To approach positively and prepare effectively for informal and/or formal meetings.

What?

(includes film, TV and theatre)

  • Being active and proactive (and not responsive). That’s the key to unlocking a career as an actor: you need to be a driver, a leader, and make sure that what you offer and who you are (and not necessarily what you do) make people want to work with you. Which levers can you pull?
  • The actor’s relationship to other professionals: how to be (or feel) equal to other artists, some of whom have impressive careers and profiles?
  • The actor and the environment: correlation between what you offer and your network, as there can’t be one without the other!
  • Your image: it makes you an “obvious” choice so that you’re considered for certain roles or projects. How can you convey the right “messages”?
  • How to prepare for and manage informal and/or formal meetings: how to nuance your message depending on the context. How to approach someone you “admire” or particularly want to work with. An introduction is best prepared, obviously. But are there rules? What are they? What do you need to do?
  • Hence the need to have a general understanding of the sphere or networks you want to move in.
  • Talking about yourself via your marketing tools and social media: How to maintain consistency between your career goals, message and tools. How essential are marketing tools and networks, and what are their limitations

Attending professional events whether or not you’re performing

You’re not very sociable, you don’t enjoy hobnobbing, you have nothing to say to your contacts… OK, so stay at home and read a good book, look forward to the parent-teacher meeting, all of which are far more interesting, and wait for them to come and get you… But we’re not sure that that will work very well or for long… so put aside your preconceived ideas and overcome your fears…. there’s nothing like preparing to help you feel confident to do something — improvisation isn’t for everyone!
Given the large amount of information in this module, it’s divided into two conferences (please also see Attending professional events, the specific case of festivals).

Marketing tools for working in France

CV, photos, demo reels, business cards, social media and other platforms… Your marketing tools follow conventions that change over time and can also vary with the audience. They need to be tailored to the market (in this case, France), but also reassure the person seeing them as to who you are. They should reflect you as an artist but not close doors to the various opportunities that could arise. When are they really useful? What form should they take? How and where should they be distributed?

Note:
This Webinar is only available in French, with no subtitles. Watch it here !

Who?

All actors already working or hoping to work in France

How?

You can join this webinar from a PC, Mac, iPad, iPhone or Android device.
Internet connection required.

Why?

  • To create tools reflecting what you convey and what you offer
  • To create tools tailored to the targeted market: here, France
  • To develop the tools over your career

What?

  • CV: Questions about CVs just keep on coming. How do you structure them, what rules should you follow? Do you need several different ones? Which information should you prioritize? In what order? Do you need a different CV for your agent? What do you do when you have lots of different entries? Should you include everything? Write everything down?
Often compiled on the basis of opinions overheard here and there, without really knowing what the right solution is, what you should or shouldn’t do, CVs can be a real headache. During this web conference, we answer all your questions once and for all!
  • Photos: Clearly the most important and powerful of your tools. Photos are what your contacts look at first, what circulates online, what you present and what are given to production teams during the crucial audition phase or when preparing for the shoot. Meaning that your photos have got to be good. But what is a good photo? How do you get the most out of a photoshoot? How do you prepare for it? Which photo(s) should you choose? How many do you need? What about the infamous “neutral” photo? We tell you everything so that your photos start putting you on the radar and the right track.
  • Demo reels: Now an essential tool, often requested but not always watched, what exactly is a demo reel? What do your contacts really expect? What criteria should it meet? Can a demo reel work against you? What’s its lifespan? What can you do when you don’t have a demo reel or recent images? Pitch, edit and choice of scenes, length, distribution… we go over all the important points to ensure that the tool boosts your profile.
  • Business card: Not so common anymore but really useful on various occasions, we explore exactly how to use them!
  • Digital marketing: No doubt about it, you have got to go digital. You have to have a social media presence; be easy to find in certain industry directories; communicate via email or Messenger. Do you need a website? What’s the best email signature? Which networks, what posts? Which directories? How can you use all these tools effectively to network, get yourself known, and ultimately be considered for roles through your e-visibility?

Get ready to cast in Europe!

A work and meeting space, with an acting coach and four casting directors who work in Europe with English as the common language.

Before the course: you’re sent scripts provided by the casting directors involved in the course. These are dialogues, monologues or full scenes from which you choose a sequence.

Day 1 & 2 (Friday and Monday): acting coach Christophe Averlan works with you on the scenes you plan to present to casting directors.

Day 3 to 6: four casting directors working across Europe with English as the common language. Analysis of your approach to and vision of the character for screen tests. They will also talk to you about their work and production at European level, what they’re looking for, their flexibility and their expectations.

Social media and Marketing strategy

Work Beyond Borders Internationally

Aimed at actors who speak several languages and want to go global with their career.

Drawing on our extensive experience in Europe and the US and our work with world-renowned actors, casting directors, agents, school and institutions, we can partner you to launch your career outside of France.

We cover several areas depending on where you want to go:

  • what draws you to the targeted countries and their industry
  • the opportunities onsite
  • the top contacts here and there
  • the steps to take
  • reviewing or, if necessary, designing and creating your marketing tools to appeal to the destination country
  • networking (who, how, where, when, why and what)

For the English-speaking market, Christophe is here to work with you on your acting skills as you prepare for a screen test or role, and our Franco-American Elyssa will help you with your accent and pronunciation. She’s also an ideal partner for your self-tapes!

Sessions with Emmanuelle, Christophe or Elyssa, depending on what you need.

Present and Promote one’s artistic identity

All artists face the same challenge of knowing how to talk about themselves, define themselves as artists and promote their work without going OTT. Some people talk about “selling yourself”, but we think that it’s more about being seen and heard in the right place at the right time with the right message… During this group training, which can be tailored to individuals (reflecting on your career path and situation), we will cover the following points:

  • Talking about your achievements and opening doors:

Basic rules. How to adapt your presentation to reflect your current standing, audience, goals, acting aspirations or targeted genre.

  • Goals:

Defining your career and artistic goals for the scene and image. Analyzing each party’s motivations. Ways to achieve your aims.

  • Network:

How to extend your network and make new contacts. How to identify your artistic “family”. Where to find it. Premieres, festivals, events, debates, etc. Do you need to go and if so, to do what? Is it really possible to network? If so, how? Where to find information.

  • Methodology:

Which networks to target depending on your goals, positioning, network and existing marketing tools, if any. How to put in place a schedule and effective tools for networking.

  • Marketing tools:

Photos: which photographer? Which photo?
CVs: is there a typical CV? What information should I include? E-visibility: personal site versus online platform
Demo reels: a few rules and recent trends.

  • Marketing methods:

Making direct contact by email or Messenger. A few rules for effective networking.
Work on social media: what to say and how often? Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, what to expect? What are the trends?
Interviews: a few rules for successful prep.

Professional Encounters and Events

Festivals, conferences, roundtables, debates and screenings are unmissable opportunities to find out more about what other people are doing and gain insight into the industry. Artists, funders, technicians, organizers, promoters… everyone comes together and networks. So this is your chance to broaden your horizons with impromptu meetings and discussions, see your contacts again and consolidate your relationships, and why not promote your work.

Attending is important and could be invaluable.
To take full advantage of industry events, you might as well prepare ahead.

The work we will do together will help you :

  • Choose what/who you absolutely have to see/meet depending on your network and ambitions
  • Identify events you could attend
  • Put together a provisional programme
  • Reactivate your network before even going
  • Arrange informal meetings
  • Prepare to introduce yourself, present your work, promote who you are, what you do, and your short-, medium- or long-term plans
  • Consolidate your network and make lasting connections
  • Check your marketing materials (digital and traditional)
  • And more importantly, put in place a methodology that you could apply to all upcoming festivals

Post-event sessions available to go over what happened and reconnect.

Sessions with Emmanuelle or Christophe in our offices, by Skype, at an agreed location or by phone.

An actor’s proposition’s strength (12 days)

COMPELLING ACTING CHOICES
A course led by Christophe Averlan
Course open to French- or English-speaking actors.

As European co-productions are increasingly being used to finance films, actors are increasingly working outside their home industry. Different worlds are uniting, with artists interacting, collaborating and engaging as they convey not only who they are, but also their country’s culture and Europe’s rich diversity. The productions are rewriting the rule book with their financing, technical teams and artistic distribution.

Since 1999, we’ve worked with actors in France, Belgium, Luxembourg, the UK and US to develop their relationships with directors, casting directors and producers through personal support and/or work on acting for the camera.

Developed for groups of twelve, the Compelling acting choices course led by acting coach, screenwriter, director and writer Christophe Averlan aims to give participants a forum for research and specific camera work using a specially written script. It may be shot in two or three languages depending on the actors, who can demonstrate their non-mother tongue acting skills. The aim is also, and more importantly, to promote them to industry professionals in Europe via a short ensemble film lasting twenty to thirty minutes.

Shot on location with a team comprising a director of photography/camera operator with three assistants (best boy/stagehand), sound technician, sound engineer, director, assistant director and production manager.

Programme
Days 1 to 3 / 10:00–18:00: Christophe Averlan has the actors work on set dialogues or monologues. The footage is watched back regularly to work on what the camera picks up and what’s unique to each actor (identity as an actor, comfort zone and limitations to overcome).

Days 4 & 5 / 10:00–18:00: Table read of the script specifically written for the course. Rehearsals and first performances reflecting each participant’s individual skill set.

Day 6 / 09:00–19:00: Rehearsal in various locations, directed by Christophe Averlan.

Days 7 to 12 / 09:00–19:00: The script is shot with all the actors present daily from 9:00 to 19:00.

After the course
The short film is edited, colour graded, audio mixed and subtitled. It may be screened and the actors will receive a digital copy.

Registration requirements:
Candidates should provide photos and CVs and attach their demo reel and the scene they will be asked to prepare and record as a self-tape by WeTransfer

Appointments by the hour: €100 inclusive of VAT

And if an hour’s not enough?
Simply choose one of our packages and benefit from a reduction of up to 27%! How does it work?
A package is a certain number of appointment hours determined jointly, to work on one or several of your objectives: overhauling your network of contacts, your career, your artistic persona, preparation for a role, finding an agent, producing your demo track, preparing a strategy to boost your visibility on the social networks, etc.
During its validity period, a package enables you to work with all of the agency’s coaches according to your needs and to their respective skills.
The validity period of the package is the number of hours converted into months, so if we decide on 6 hours’ work together, your package will be valid for six months. We operate based on the principle that to do our job effectively and to follow it up, a minimum of one appointment per month is required.
Regarding the appointment frequency, this is completely dependent upon the work to be done and our respective diary commitments.

A guaranteed price of €70 per hour, even after your package has expired! Subscribing to a package costs €30. This guarantees that you can benefit from all of your hours at €70.
Whether you need more hours than initially anticipated, whether you’ve completed your allocation of hours before the end of the validity period of your package or whether you’ve reached the validity expiry date of your package, during the next 3 months you’ll benefit from a preferential rate of €70 per hour for all hours booked or for any new package you sign up to.
On the other hand, any hours which have not been used within the allocated period will be lost when your package expires.

For example: let’s assume that you sign up to a 6-month package on 25 October, i.e. 6 hours of appointments. Its expiry date will be 25 April of the following year.
You complete your 6 hours in 3 months, so any new hours up to 25 April will be at €70 as well as during the 3 months following the 25 April, i.e. up to 25 July… The same will apply upon expiry of your package: you use your 6 hours within the 6-month validity period of your package and you also benefit from this special discount up to 25 July… After 25 July, all new appointments will be billed at €100 for the first hour.
And if by 25 April (the expiry date of your package) you’ve only used 3 hours, you’ll lose the remaining unused 3 hours but still benefit from the pack extension discount at €70 until 25 July for your new appointment hour or subscription.

Young actors: save time and pay less!

Whether or not you subscribe to a package, you can benefit from a 15% reduction off your total bill for all of our coaching services proposed by Médiane (excluding courses, workshops and web conferences).
Save time and money by taking advantage of this outstanding reduction now!
(valid during the 2 years after you leave school, subject to provision of proof)

Example of prices :

A casting, role to prepare ?

Some screen tests/casting calls demand more preparation than others, perhaps due to the scale of the project, the difficulty of the role or because it’s your first one in a while.

Private acting coaching will help you:

  • put together or try out (depending on your work before the session) a pitch, making improvements and additions if necessary
  • check that you can interact with other actors
  • make sure that you bring who you are and what you do to the character
  • put all that to the test with some challenging direction
  • remain available to work with the casting director and meet his/her requirements fast

The best time to see us?

  • On receiving the script: the work starts with the script reading. Invaluable for important roles
  • A few days before the screen tests (maximum three or four days)
  • An hour before the screen tests: ideal for ‘warming up’

Sessions with Christophe in our offices (ideally), by Skype or at an agreed location. If you’ve worked with Christophe before, this could be done by phone (to be discussed with him).

NB: sessions in thirty-minute blocks, depending on the role and your requirements.

Going to a festival

A festival demands proper consideration. When you’re performing, you don’t go for the same reasons, or with the same intentions or goals, as when you’re just observing. But in both cases, it’s best to prepare ahead to come back with contacts and/or concrete opportunities.

During this workshop, we will work together on:

  • Planning ahead: checklist of everything there is to do
  • How to identify and meet the right people
  • Tools, message, positioning
  • How to develop your network onsite

Workshop with Christophe.
Length: 3 hours for 45 euros.

Take part in our offices or by Skype (please make sure you have a reliable connection).

Introduce yourself

“So, tell us about yourself ! “This is a tricky question that you are unlikely to feel confortable with. You try to make a joke, to wriggle out of the situation, but still, you can’t answer the question correctly and make sure everyone will remember you. So, let’s check together

    • ✓ What you could say
    • ✓ How to take advantage of a one-to-one conversation
✓ What information you could say first ?

We’ll put you in situation (in English first, then in French, if you want to) !

Audition, by Michael Shurtleff

It’s a classic, it’s a reference, it’s a must. What else can we add?
A brief summary perhaps? Hmmm... no, that wouldn’t do it justice. The title says it all. Just keep in mind that this doesn’t cover only theatre auditions but auditions in general and that it’s not aimed only at American actors or actors from another age, but at actors full stop. That’s where Mr Shurtleff really excels.
Have a good read...

Conversations with French Casting Directors

A simple way to discover the world of the casting directors to better understand the way they work, their temperament, their mindset, what they like and what they don’t like.  Our conversations help you discover this profession from a whole new angle.

Role/casting in foreign languages

«Sincerity is universal.»

Drawing on his coaching experience in Hebrew, Swedish, Tuareg, Turkish, Arabic and obviously English, Christophe prepares you for roles in all languages. The directions are in French or English.

And for roles in English, Elyssa, our Franco-American, will be your best coach for the accent and pronunciation.
For other languages, we will not work on accents or pronunciation.

In the same way as for preparing for screen tests or preparing for roles, the work will help you:

  • step back from the script
  • check or improve the sincerity of your portrayal
  • find the right breathing technique for the spoken language
  • for some actors, overcome the language barrier and the diction it demands

The best time to see us?

  • On receiving the script: the work starts with the script reading. Invaluable for important roles
  • A few days before the screen tests (maximum three or four days)
  • An hour before the screen tests: ideal for ‘warming up’

Sessions with Christophe in our offices (ideally), by Skype or at an agreed location. If you’ve worked with Christophe before, this could be done by phone (to be discussed with him).

Acting for the camera

Group of six to ten maximum.

Using various exercises and simulations to research and rehearse your approach to set texts, this masterclass led by Christophe Averlan, Médiane’s acting coach, writer and director, will help you

  • Find your own voice whilst staying true to the text
  • Explore your emotions
  • Stay in the moment
  • Build a rapport with other actors
  • Emphasize your individuality and be yourself
  • Let the character “come to you” (and not the other way around)
  • Take risks and try new things to overcome your limitations
  • Look inward, or make your outward expression subtler for the camera
  • Explore registers

Christophe Averlan’s masterclasses are unique in structure: you will be constantly searching, questioning, trying and retrying in the sole aim of finding or exploring the actor/artist you are at any stage of your career.

Be ready for your interview!

TV, radio, press and even blog interviews are important moments in your career.
You have the opportunity to promote your values, ambitions and vision of a role, film or project.
Particularly when you’re involved in a project with a social (domestic violence, paedophilia, disease, etc.) or political message (ecology, extremism, etc.), you will be asked about the subject. And that demands preparation to avoid making a misstep that could go viral.

At premieres and award ceremonies, you may need to address the audience. Preparing a clear, powerful and concise speech lasting around a minute is important.
And so we can work with you to:
  • go over the project, how you pitch it and any concerns you may have
  • prepare for interviews with filmed mocks (with sync sound)
  • analyze your response after watching the mocks, highlight keywords and relevant ideas, define your message as an artist and citizen, and list the terms to be banned to avoid any ambiguity
  • emphasize your commitment to your industry, clarify your goals and look to the future.

One or more sessions, depending on how confident you feel, may be needed. Call us to talk it over.

These sessions are handled by Christophe in our offices, by Skype, by phone or at an agreed location.
