TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF SALE
ACCENT AND ACTING TRAINING IN ENGLISH
- Purpose and scope:
These General Terms and Conditions (GTC) govern participation in the Master Class “Accent Reduction and Acting” (hereinafter referred to as “the Master Class”) offered by MEDIANE-ART&COM’, whose registered office is located at Paris II, 164 rue Saint Denis, France (hereinafter referred to as “the Provider”). Any registration for the Master Class implies unreserved acceptance of these GTC. - Duration and Programme
The Master Class will take place over a period of 16 weeks, starting in the week of 6 November and ending at the end of February. Each week, a 4-hour lesson will be given. Each lesson will be divided into two equal parts: 2 hours devoted to accent reduction and 2 hours devoted to acting. Individual and constructive feedback sessions will be scheduled during each lesson. Classes will be conducted in English. - Materials and Preparation
The texts required for the courses will be made available to the participants ten days before the start of the course, together with the instructions provided by the coaches. - Online procedures
The courses will take place online via the Zoom platform. The Internet connection and the equipment required to follow the lessons (computer, headphones, microphone, etc.) are the sole responsibility of the participant. - Audition
Participation in this Master Class is subject to a preliminary audition. Details of the audition will be sent to interested participants when they register. Only actors who have graduated from a drama school OR have at least 5 years’ experience may apply. The Provider reserves the right to select participants based on the results of the audition. - Coaches’ schedule
The coaches’ schedule will be communicated at the beginning of each month for the following month, to enable participants to organise themselves accordingly. - Course dates and times
A total of 16 course dates will be offered to participants, enabling them to follow 12 courses according to their schedules and needs. Participants will be able to choose the dates that suit them from among the proposals. Course times will always be given in Paris time. - Fees and terms of payment
The fee for the Master Class is €990. However, a preferential “Early Bird” rate of €790 will be applied to all applications sent before 18 September. Payments are made online via the PayPal secure payment platform. For payment in several monthly instalments, payment is made at the time of online payment via PayPal, which then acts as a credit institution, in accordance with its own terms and conditions. - How to qualify for the Early Bird price
- To benefit from the “Early Bird” rate of €790, the participant must comply with the terms and conditions specified in the confirmation e-mail received after registering online at https://medianeartetcom.eu/produit/accent-and-acting-training/. This confirmation e-mail will contain detailed instructions for finalising the pre-registration. In particular, the participant must send the required documents to the e-mail address indicated in the confirmation e-mail. The documents required include a selftape of a monologue, a video presentation, an up-to-date CV in pdf format and a photo.
- Receipt by the Provider of the required documents, as instructed in the confirmation email, by the specified deadline will validate eligibility for the preferential rate.
- All required documents must be received by the Provider before the “Early Bird” deadline indicated in the confirmation email. The Provider cannot guarantee the application of the preferential rate if the documents are received after this date.
- Partner Rate
After the “Early Bird” deadline, the “Partner Rate” of €790 applies to actors who have subscribed to Médiane-Art&Com’ ACCRED Découverte or Premium or to paying Crew United members. - Refunds for Classes Not Taken
No refunds will be made for classes not taken by the participant. If the participant has not been able to take all 12 courses due to unavailability during the period, no refund will be made for courses not taken. - Intellectual Property
All content and materials provided as part of the Master Class remain the intellectual property of the Provider and may not be used for commercial purposes without prior authorisation. - Confidentiality
Participants undertake to respect the confidentiality of information shared by coaches and other participants during the Master Class. - Recordings and Broadcasting
The lessons will be recorded to enable participants to review them online throughout the programme. Participants authorise the Provider to send a link for viewing the recordings to all those registered for the programme. Participants undertake not to record or broadcast the recordings by any means whatsoever. The Service Provider undertakes to use the recordings only in accordance with these GTC. - Language and Translation
In the event of translation of these GTC, only the French version will be deemed authentic. The translated versions are given for information only. - Prevalence of the General Terms and Conditions of Sale
These General Terms and Conditions of Sale specific to the Master Class “Accent And Acting Training” take precedence over the General Terms and Conditions of Sale of all other services offered online by the Provider. In the event of any conflict or discrepancy between the Master Class T&Cs and those of other services, these T&Cs shall apply exclusively to the Master Class “Accent And Acting Training”.
This prevailing clause applies only in the context of participation in the Master Class and does not alter the terms and conditions of the Provider’s other services. - Disputes and Applicable Law
In the event of a dispute, the parties shall endeavour to find an amicable solution. Failing this, any dispute relating to the Master Class will be submitted to the competent court in Paris in accordance with the law in force.
