Required level

Basic (A2+)

You understand the basics and can learn a scene in English. When you’re travelling and need to speak the language, you manage to get by. But you’ve never acted or auditioned in English. You lack the confidence to talk about your craft and often doubt your own understanding.

Through regular work on a wide range of texts of varying difficulty, weekly vocabulary sheets and conversation classes, you’ll gain confidence in your acting and spoken English, improve your accent and progress at your own pace, in a supportive environment.

Intermediate (B1 / B1+)

You have already acted or auditioned in English, and you can discuss a character and their intentions. However, you sometimes feel that your vocabulary is lacking when it comes to analysing a role in detail, or you don’t grasp all the nuances. You would also like to improve your fluency and refine an accent that is sometimes too pronounced or mixed.

Regular lessons, a wide range of texts, themed discussions and weekly vocabulary sheets will enable you to engage with complex characters and rich dialogue, expand your vocabulary, learn useful expressions and refine your accent.

Advanced (B2 or upper)

You may already have worked in English, or even lived in or travelled regularly to English-speaking countries. You speak with confidence, but without regular practice, you feel you’re losing your fluency and ease. You sometimes find yourself lacking certain expressions or technical vocabulary related to your profession; you have a good accent and, above all, you want to keep it!

With a wide range of complex texts and scenes, themed conversations and weekly vocabulary sheets, you’ll be able to challenge yourself, maintain your accent, retain the nuances of the language and deepen your command of it in a stimulating environment.

What This Training Will Do For You

Accent training

  • Learn techniques to improve your neutral British accent, including RP (received pronunciation)
  • Work on common stumbling points, in particular word stress* and sentence stress*

You can apply whenever you want.

Yes, there is a selection process based on your level of English.
If you have not previously participated in the Accent and Acting Training Programme, you will need to complete the admissions process. This involves taking an online test to assess your level.
However, if you have already completed the programme, you are automatically admitted and do not need to retake the test!
You will be informed if you have been selected following your interview with Christophe AVERLAN, unless he tells you otherwise.

If you are selected to take part in the next Accent & Acting Training in English session, you will be asked to pay a registration fee. Your registration will be confirmed on receipt of payment.

We limit each course to a maximum of 12 participants. This allows us to guarantee personalised attention and a quality learning experience for everyone.

Classes will be taught exclusively in English.

Absolutely! Our coaches will work with you individually during the courses and provide constructive feedback to help you progress in your accent and acting development.

No, subscribing does not guarantee a place for all courses throughout the year. Your subscription allows you to attend classes, subject to the availability of 12 places.

All plans are designed to allow you to choose which courses you would like to attend. The Starter Plan, for example, includes six courses out of the twenty scheduled. This gives you maximum flexibility regarding your own schedule. At the same time, we are limiting each accent and acting course to 12 participants and each conversation course to six participants. This is why you will need to book the classes you want to attend.

No, it is not possible to cancel your booking once it has been confirmed. By booking a course, you are taking up a place that could go to another participant, and there is no waiting list. All bookings are therefore final and non-refundable.

Installé en France depuis 2021, Sam accompagne les acteur·rice·s dans la maîtrise de l’anglais pour renforcer leur aisance à l’oral – que ce soit dans un rôle, une audition ou une conversation professionnelle. Titulaire d’un certificat d’enseignement de l’anglais langue étrangère (The TEFL Org, Royaume-Uni) et d’un diplôme de compétences linguistiques en français (Institut Campus Langues, Paris), il propose un apprentissage sur mesure, axé sur la confiance en soi pour oser s’exprimer sans crainte.

Acting

Christophe Averlan est coach de jeu et coach carrière au sein de Médiane-Art&Com‘ dont il est le cofondateur, depuis 1999. Il a développé une méthode de coaching inspirée, entre autres, par Sanford Meisner, Michael Shurtleff et Harold Guskin, qu’il adapte systématiquement à la personnalité de chaque acteur pour révéler leur plein potentiel artistique. Il travaille avec des acteurs et actrices du monde entier, préparant leurs auditions et rôles en français, en anglais ou dans d’autres langues. En parallèle de son activité de coach, il a publié aux éditions de la librairie théâtrale plusieurs recueil de textes spécialement écrits pour le travail d’acteur dont "100 monologues prêts à jouer" (2023)" et "40 duos pour la scène et l’écran" (2025).

Ciaran Cresswell a été formateur d’anglais chez l‘école de langues Berlitz, et il est aussi coach d’accent au sein du troupe de comédie musicale Something Musical. Comédien britannique-australien basé à Paris, il s’installe en France en 2017 et fait de la voix off professionnelle depuis (pubs, jeux vidéos, documentaires, audio livres, musées). Il a pu jouer dans une myriade de spectacles de différents genres, et il travaille aussi à l’écran avec plusieurs projets dans les tuyaux. Spécialiste en langues et accents, il travaille souvent dans une variété d’accents (e.x. RP, régions britanniques, Américain, Australien) et il parle couramment le français, l’italien, et l’espagnol.

Hannah est une comédienne irlandaise vivant à Paris depuis 2015. ormée au Cours Florent, elle a cofondé Alchemy Theatre Paris, où elle a joué dans des pièces classiques (The Taming of the Shrew de Shakespeare) et contemporaines (Three Sisters de Tchekhov, qu’elle a adaptée). Parallèlement à ses activités d‘actrice et d’auteure, Hannah enseigne régulièrement le théâtre et anime des ateliers d’improvisation et de team-building.

Susy Firth a été membre de la Compagnie du P‘tit Matin, basée à Paris, pendant plus de 25 ans, en tant qu’interprète, metteur en scène, compositrice, directrice musicale et auteure. Elle a coaché aussi bien des acteurs que des chanteurs dans des workshops de théâtre et d‘expression vocale/interprétation. En tant que coach d’accent, Susy attache une grande importance à la musicalité et au rythme de la parole pour être compris - et crédible - en anglais. En tant que coach d‘acteurs, son travail se concentre sur la manière de s’approprier un texte à travers l‘étude de son (ses) sens, et sur la manière d’exploiter l‘énergie, la présence et l’intelligence émotionnelle afin de l‘interpréter comme si c’était la première fois.

Diplomé du conservatoire, il a complété son cursus à l‘école Philippe Gaulier, où il travaille notamment le clown. Bilingue (anglais et français), cet acteur australien vit et travaille en France depuis 2018. Il est particulièrement inspiré par les grands écrivains, avec un intérêt pour le sens qui dérive du rythme et de l’accentuation syllabique dans le texte. Il a beaucoup travaillé comme enseignant et coach auprès d‘étudiants et de professionnels, en Australie et en France. Plutôt tourné vers la comédie et l’improvisation, il apporte une conscience aiguë du pathos profond que cela peut apporter à une pièce dramatique.

Conversation

Christine Hooper, actrice britannique et coach en communication, a grandi et étudié au Royaume-Uni avant de s’installer en France pour y mener une carrière internationale. Depuis 20 ans, elle forme acteurs et professionnels à l’anglais conversationnel, avec une pédagogie ludique et positive. Entre autres, elle conçoit des ateliers sur mesure, notamment pour aborder le Small Talk avec aisance et confiance. Ses clients, parmi lesquels des dirigeants de grandes entreprises, bénéficient de son expertise pour préparer leurs interventions à enjeux en anglais.

Acting

Formée à la London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art, Noëlle est Acting Coach et Dialect Coach notamment pour la BBC (séries « Baptiste », « The Boat »). Elle forme en Anglais également à l’Ecole du TNB à Rennes. Elle s’attache à développer la sécurité intérieure de l’acteurice afin qu’il.elle explore en toute confiance ses ressources émotionnelles et poétiques puis les mette en partage. Elle s’appuie par ailleurs sur la Technique Alexander, dont elle est professeure certifiée, pour une meilleure fluidité du mouvement et du phrasé, tout en puisant dans les travaux de Kristin Linklater, Patsy Rodenburg ou Cecily Berry pour guider les acteurices vers une qualité de diction permettant liberté et plaisir de jouer.

Born in Australia, she lives and works in Paris. Since 2007, she has been coaching actors for their auditions, self tapes, their films shoots and on sets. She adapts to the specific needs of each actor, each scenario and each role. Equipped with professional equipment, she also accompanies them for self-tapes. She created C-Me acting where she runs masterclasses in collaboration with directors and casting directors . She has animated film acting workshops at numerous schools including: Paris Sandy Meisner, Bilingual acting workshop, New York Film Academy, Blanche Salant. She founded with other coaches iACT in 2022.

Lisa a suivi une formation d‘actrice au Drama Centre, London. Elle travaille dans le cinéma, la télévision, le théâtre et l’industrie de la voix off depuis plus de 25 ans. Entre 2019 et 2021, elle a donné le cours de "Received Pronunciation" au Cours Florent, travaillant avec des étudiants internationaux dans la section Acting in English. Elle a ainsi animé des ateliers de théâtre, mis en scène une pièce qu‘elle a écrite ainsi que deux projets de courts-métrages qu’elle a également créés, dont l’un est actuellement projeté dans des festivals de films.

Née et élevée au Royaume Uni, Rachel a étudié le théâtre. Elle travaille depuis quelques années en tant que coach dialecte pour des coproductions internationales sur des films et des séries (dernièrement : Marie-Antoinette (S1), Bureau des Légendes (S4 & 5), Le petit Nicolas, Waiting For you, Call me by your name... ). Elle anime également des ateliers de voix en anglais pour les comédiens et exerce le métier de voix off depuis plus de 20 ans.

Fiamma Bennett est comédienne britannique, bilingue (français/anglais) et formée à l’École Internationale de Théâtre Jacques Lecoq. Elle a également étudié les techniques de l’Actor’s Studio, Meisner et Strasberg avec Jack Waltzer. Depuis 2010, elle joue dans des créations théâtrales et audiovisuelles en France et à l’international (Festival d’Aix, Bouffes du Nord, Festival d’Édimbourg, France 2). Elle prête aussi sa voix à des projets variés (poésie, publicité, narration) pour des clients comme Hermès, BNP Paribas ou Joyeuse. Coach depuis plus de 10 ans, elle propose un travail précis sur l’accent anglais, la diction et l’interprétation, à destination des artistes comme des professionnels.

Kester est comédien de formation et directeur artistique de Drama Ties, pour lequel il produit et met en scène une douzaine de spectacles en anglais en France depuis 20 ans. Il est également professeur de jeu en anglais au CNSAD et à l’ESAD à Paris. En tant que coach, il est spécialisé dans la réduction d’accent pour ceux qui souhaitent maîtriser la musicalité de l’anglais britannique, puisant son expertise du studio d’enregistrement, où il est artiste de voix et directeur de plateau, notamment sur la série Marie-Antoinette (Canal +). Il est également le fondateur de iACT avec d’autres coachs en 2022.
